MAD3 Engineering was appointed by EPC Contractor, NuEnergy, to provide structural engineering services for the Junction Road Gas Power Station in New Plymouth (NZ) for their end client Todd Energy.

MAD3 Engineering assisted the Salini Impregilo-NRW Joint Venture during the construction of the Forrestfield-Airport link 9 km tunnel boring project. MAD3 Engineering was requested to provide design and third-party certification of temporary works including lifting studies, lifting equipment, steel platforms, pipe supports, plant equipment supports and foundations.

Verification of the design of a 75T Container Crane in terms of its compliance to AS1418.1,3 and 18 and to verify the design of the elevator to AS1735. Work included project management, establishing global reaction loads and a detailed FEA structural and mechanical assessment.

Client was operating 3 composters and required an assessment of the remaining life of the composters, taking into account the shell loss due to wear and corrosion.

Design review and verification of a 360m3 Sludge Silo to AS1170-2002 Structural design actions & AS4100-1998 Steel structures.

Carried out a redesign current rock breaker to have an extended reach and modify mountings to suit new hammer and swivel motor. 

Client was operating 7 pumps on the pump station and required an assessment on the pump station supporting structure which was experiencing high level of vibration.

Design, manufacture and install hand operated hydraulic jacks for wheel alignment and suspension adjustment purposes.
