Our Client commissioned MAD3 Engineering (formerly McDowall Affleck) to provide a comprehensive condition survey on their Locomotive Depot across a 6,000 m2 site located in Forrestfield.
Our Client raised concerns over accelerated wear experienced in the slewing bearing gear on Reclaimer REC42101, likely due to excessive backlash. They attempted to address the issue with the installation of 4 new pinion gears and requested that MAD3 Engineering (formerly Deacon Engineers) attend the March 2021 shutdown.
Our Client intends to repurpose a 20 m³ vessel and a 35 m³ vessel previously used at a Perth area Pump Station for use on the Burrup Peninsular.
